Manatee mating season = manatee herds near the shoreline. This herd of 13 manatees was spotted in Holmes Beach, Florida, where police had to be called to guard the manatees from curious humans. (Manatees are endangered species; don’t touch or bother ‘em!)

“Tonight, gentle giants gone wild!”
What? Oh. It’s just the South Florida TV station WSVN reporting on manatees spotted mating close to the shores of Hollywood Beach, to the soundtrack of “Wild Thing” and “Let’s Get It On.”
